Structured Cabling for Universal Atlantic Systems

Located in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Universal Atlantic Systems (UAS) provides security solutions including custom installations of intrusion alarm systems, fire systems, closed circuit television systems, access control, and environmental monitoring. UAS protects over $15 billion in commercial assets for a diverse client base. The UAS Underwriters Laboratories (UL)-Listed Five Diamond state-of-the-art central station provides redundant 24x7x365 monitoring to their clients.

How Did ThinkSecureNet Help UAS?

During a major facility renovation in Pennsylvania, ThinkSecureNet completed a large-scale structured cabling installation for UAS over a six-month period. The project included the deployment of more than 150,000 feet of Category 6 (Cat6) cabling to support integrated data, voice, security systems, and CCTV infrastructure. To meet the demands of a high-security, mission-critical environment, the project incorporated backbone cabling and high-pair-count copper cabling to ensure reliable and uninterrupted voice communications. All copper and fiber-optic cabling installations were fully tested and certified to guarantee performance, compliance, and long-term network reliability.

Network Design and Engineering Expertise

The project was led by a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) with more than 20 years of experience in network infrastructure design and structured cabling systems. Over a five-month planning phase, ThinkSecureNet developed and implemented solutions aligned with UAS’s defined project scope, while proactively identifying and addressing potential gaps in coverage. This approach ensured a fully optimized, scalable, and high-performance cabling infrastructure.
